Importing from NPM

I have custom properties and other properties that I want to import from NPM into NCM, but when doing so I ended up duplicating the nodes instead of "adding to them" ... it seems the options are to ignore IPs that I already have or duplicate them. How do I "merge" them?

In NCM 5.5.1, there's an "Import from Orion database" job that you can schedule that will merge mapped database fields with your existing nodes.

I don't know if there is an easier way, but I've been using SQL scripts to copy the data from one to another.

Does this work differently than the manual import? I stepped through the "job" but it didn't appear any different so it was clear that it would merge the fields or create duplicate nodes as the manual import does.

Yes, it works differently. The last page of the job provides additional filtering options. The default behavior is merge.
