More questions....

Hate to start a new thread but I had a few more questions on Cirrus :

1.  Is there any way possible to sort the nodes in the node list just in alphabetical order?  I know there is a select fields & grouping but a simple sort by name would be nice.

2. If I select SSH as my default transport will it automatically fall back to telnet if it can't get in via SSH?  Most of our devices are SSH but some are still telnet.

3.  I'm getting a pop-up about node monitoring and the fact I have a large amount of devices (370+).  What does this actual do and is it needed?  We do have Orion running as well.

4.  Does Cirrus support config backups of Cisco 3030 VPN boxes?

5. Will there be config snippets developed by SW or possible have a area where people can share developed snippets for use?  Kind of like the Mozilla way?

I've been importing from our Orion Database (which I love).

Are there any plans to add a syncronize feature to Cirrus?

We occasionally Unmanage or Delete nodes out of Orion and having the ability to Sync Cirrus with the datase would be nice.

I think the sorting issue is an easy fix.  That's what you have in Orion when you add a device to the Systems Manager.  It's kind of difficult to locate a device in Cirrus...should be a no brainer.

Can ETA on when Cirrus and Orion will be 1?

Brian,

1.  Sorting, not right at the moment, but it's on the map.
2.  SSH Fallback - Not a the moment, but it's a great idea.
3.  Node Monitoring - If you already have Orion, you can turn the node monitoring off.  Node monitoring can slow down the application on large installations, and that why we put the warning up.
4.  If we can connect to the box, someone will figure out a way to get a config out of it!
5.  We are currently working on an addition to the forum for that very reason.
