cat0S vs native IOS
mkocsis
I have 6 Catalyst 6500's with Native IOS. I also have 2 Catalyst 6500's with hybrid (Cat OS in the SUP for layer 2 and IOS in the MSFC).
I plan to convert these two into Native in the future, but in the mean time I want to use Cirrus to keep track of their configurations.
Cirrus logs into the MSFCs without any problem, but can't seem to log into the Sup module. When I log in manually, the ID/password works fine with one quirk. Whenever I log into the Sup Mod, I have to enter ENABLE mode. TACACS doesn't pass me automaticly into ENABLE like the other Catalysts.
I just figured out that when I log in manually, I need to hit 'enter' after the ID/Password and before the enable command. Otherwise the prompt never comes back.
Has anyone run into this and already figured out a work around?
Thank you.

If I understand the situation, when you log onto the Cat OS switches, you're not in enable mode. If this is correct, I 'fixed' it by a change on the ACS server (we're using Cisco's ACS server).
