Automatic Backup of Cisco Devices on NCM

Hi All,

Am a bit stuck on how to get my devices to backup automatically every night, or whenever I carry out any changes and then save.

I would also appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction on how to set up NCM to receive email alerts whenever changes are made on the any of the devices.

On the server you should open the NCM management software(not the web interface!) and check schedules. There is a default nightly backup schedule job there, you can modify and enable that job. Check this youtube video

Your second question is about Real-time Change Detection feature of the NCM, you should check the user guide for it. Basically you should configure your device to send a snmp trap or syslog to NCM whenever a change occurs and set up a rule on syslog/trap viewer to send an e-mail (or run a NCM job to download latest config) whenever that particular message is received.
