NTA Report per node

Question

So, this is a little strange but I wanted to see about possibility of making a report that can be sent out for each specific node group to show something like top conversations, top talkers, etc. Our business functions a little different in that each group device we manage outside the main site is a separately managed entity from a business standpoint, so we would want to send the report out to the GM of each entity. Right now they are grouped by department and I use the department attribute to break up each site with their site number. The router at each site has netflow, so that would be the device I would like to pull the data from.

All the ways I have looked into don't seem to provide similar info as what I want. I want the chart to look similar to the NTA graphs I have per node when I pull it up, but when I try to make a table or chart, I can't seem to get anything close. Chart doesn't seem to have the info even available while table seems to have the info available but isn't in a presentable format for a GM to read. Anyone have any tips or ideas on this?

Hello Keith,

You can do this a couple of ways via Orion reporting.  If you have NTA IP Address Groups set up for your needs already, this KB article will take you through how you might set up your report:

Otherwise you can create a report that uses Custom Properties:

PS the video is 4 minutes long, but the first two minutes are creating a custom property.  If you want to skip that part, right around 2:20 it starts to show you how to filter the report.

I haven't played around with the charts in reports enough to see if there's a way to get them to look like the resources from the NTA pages, but you can use the Netflow Navigator to filter the views you have and export those charts to a PDF if that's more to your needs:
