NTA Source % Utilization is Not Reporting Nortel Switch Ports

Using NPM 9.5 and NTA 3.5sp2.

One of the devices I'm monitoring with NTA is a Nortel 5510 switch. I have it set to monitor 3 specific ports. The switch is running code v6.1.

I can see flow information from the 3 ports i'm monitoring. I can see the protocol and source/destination information from the switch ports in all the different charts.

What I'm not getting from this switch is a % utilization report. In the Top 10 NetFlow Sources by % Utilization view, the Nortel switch ports are not listed. I can see ports from Cisco routers, but not this switch.

In the screenshot you can see the Nortel ports listed, but then nothing in the utilization view. Any ideas?

It looks like the Nortel switch is not reporting the interface utilization on standard OIDs we're polling.
Could you run a snmp walk on your switch? The snmp walk will help us to confirm that and to find the correct OIDs.

Here are the instructions:

Please download and install net-snmp from http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/
You can download the Win32 binaries here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/net-snmp/files/net-snmp%20binaries/5.5-binaries/net-snmp-5.5.0-1.x86.exe/download
It doesn’t matter what machine do you install it on, as long as it reaches the switch.
Run this command from “installation directory/bin/”: snmpwalk -v 2c -c public -O netU 127.0.0.1 1 > output.txt
(change the community string (if different than 'public') and the ip address of the switch)
Pack the file output.txt into zip archive and upload it to leapfile.

Leapfile provides a secure upload to where you will send files when requested by Support.
1.    Navigate to http://solarwinds.leapfile.com
2.    Select the Secure Upload option
3.    Enter support@solarwinds.net as the recipient email address
4.    Fill out the form and provide some information about your issue in the subject line.
5.    Select the Select Files To Send (Regular Upload) option
6.    Browse to the compressed capture file
7.    Select the Upload & Send button

After you upload the file, please let me know.

Same problem here but with a few Cisco 877 routers, funny thing is it only affects some of them, not all of them. Seems like the ones I added to NTA BEFORE I enabled Netflow on them work fine, but the ones I added to NTA after enabling netflow on the device do not show the utilization. Possible bug? Let me know if you find a fix.

can you see Nortel Interfaces in Orion's "Top 10 Interfaces by Traffic" resource (e.g. on Top 10 view)?

The problem could be for example with automatic detection of interface speed through SNMP. Can you query you Interfaces table and investigate value of InPercentUtil and OutPercentUtil fields for Nortel Interfaces (and post results here).

Some query like this:

select InPercentUtil, OutPercentUtil, InterfaceSpeed, InBandwidth, OutBandwidth, * from Interfaces where (InterfaceName like '%Nortel%' OR InterfaceAlias like '%Nortel%')

The Top 10 by Traffic view doesn't show the switch ports. The fields InPercentUtil, OutPercentUtil, InBandwidth, OutBandwidth all have -2 in them. Interface Speed has 1000000000 filled in.

What does the -2 represent?
