Hi all,
I tried to back up a Arista DCS-7050QX switch with Cattools but failed.
Then I looked up online and it seems Cattools doesn't support Arista. Is that true? Any work-around?
Thanks.
You can try a using a generic device type, and customize it to your specific device.
I backup my Arista devices using the packaged Cisco.Switch.IOS as the device type.
If needed, you can use the Variations option to adjust the commands sent to your device.
Sorry for late reply.
I somehow got Arista login credential/method working. So Cattools can log into the Arista device now. But it fails when it tries to use tftp to backup the config file.
The exact message is: Backup via TFTP results: failed.
I don't knwo if something needs to be set on the Arista device or CatTools.
Are you able to back up this device from a command line? If so, you can try the device backup running config activity.
