Ignoring first line in config when comparing running configs

Question

I am backing up Occam blades using the Cattools.  I want to be alerted everytime the config changes.

However, the first line of the config is the compile time and so it always returns a "Changed" status when it fact it has not change.

Anyone know how I can get it to NOT compare the first lines of configs?

I'm backing up a PIX that has the line;

"Cryptochecksum:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

I want to ignore that line during the file compare...

Is there a patched script for Cisco routers?  For some reason, the difference report finds "ip host ..." in different order on my router, plus the "ntp clock-period" fluctuates.

I guess I could just switch to the tftp backup which does have an ignore option.

Rob,

Could you show me a 'sample' of the top of the config file please so I can check that the ignore row we've added to the revised Occam script, actually matches the line in your config file.

(Note: make sure you **** out any config lines which may contain sensitive data that you wouldn't want to post on a public forum!)
