I'd like to add the "Node Name" that I editied in NPM to the list of columns that shows next to each IP address in IPAM. I don't see the variable avaialable when I clcik to add a column to the IPAM list.

unfortunately this kind of synchronization between NPM and IPAM is not possible actually. I entered your requirement as feature request (FB90005). Is this something just "nice to have" or does it really solve your issues (if so what is that problem)? And are there any other data that you would use in IPAM from other SW products?

The names that I've created for the nodes are very detailed and reference particular info. Being able to see that info next to the IP in IPAM would be very helpful. I'm transferring from spreadsheets now and the spreadsheets have that information.
It would be a benefit to have the detailed node names i created next the the appropriate IP address of the node in IPAM. That would be the only data i would have a need to transfer over at this time from NPM.
Actually the database field that contains the custom node names is the "Caption" field. If this field could be available in NCM and IPAM to be displayed next to the device or IP, that would be beneficial. Otherwise, i guess i could create a custom field and copy from the caption to the new field.
I understand you. Unfortunately IPAM doesn't share this DB fields with NCM right now. But we will definitely consider that for future.
