On the left side of the IPAM manage interface, there doesn't appear to be a way to expand the name column. The usual method of dragging the bar between the two fields doesn't work.
IPAM includes a preliminary tool that can tweak some default UI settings. The tool allows you to change defaults for all users. You will find it here: c:\program files\SolarWinds\Orion\IPAM\SolarWinds.IPAM.InternalSettings.exe.
