Has NPM v10.1 been tested with EOC ? Are there any issues related to AD authentication on the NPM ? Asking this question for both adding Orion Servers as well as User credentials for the NPMs in EOC.
Bryan, Did you get this resolved from your support ticket? We are running NPM v10.1.2 and EOC 1.3 RC5. We are looking at converting our Orions over to Active directory but are wondering how that will impact EOC connectivity. Can you provide any best practices for doing this? Thanks! Robert
Yes. With the latest Orion and EOC (RC6 is out) the active directory piece is working.
We have tested 10.1 with EOC and there should not be any issues relating to the AD authentication.
[edit] We have since discovered a couple of compatibility issues with Orion EOC 1.2 and Orion NPM 10.1. Please install the EOC hotfix from the Customer Portal if you are going to upgrade to Orion NPM 10.1.
Great.. thanks for the reply.
I'm having a weird issue. I upgraded one of my 4 10.0 servers to 10.1 and I get a timeout from time to time when I tried to click on it it's link in EOC which opened a new window that goes to that Orion server. I get the following attached message.
Passthru auth should work.

You need the EOC hotfix that we released today. The hotfix patches EOC 1.2SP1 so that it can connect to NPM 10.1.
If the hotfix does not help, please open a support case so that we can take a closer look.
Loaded the hotfix but still get the timeout error. I opened case #201376.
Ok, we'll try to get RC6 in the pipeline but how did you implement it? Did you create a service account on your domain or just a regular account on your domain? Does RC6 support adding AD Accounts or do you still need to use DOMAIN\user? Are all of your Orions AD enabled or do you have some that are not? Just curious how you've got this working in your environment. Once everything is said and done on our end, we'll have some Orions on domains and others not. Thanks!
