EOC connecting to the additional web servers

Can EOC connect and get the data from the additional web server instead of the main application server? I would like to keep all the polling behind a firewall while the users could still access the site from their workstations.

No it can't. EOC v1.x needs to communicate with primary server with SQL in order to transfer the data. EOC doesn't do any polling though. Additional web servers do not have any data persistency, they also need to ask main servers in order to show a data. you can certainly tunnel only required ports between EOC and main server(s) where polling still happens behind the firewall.
