We've created a new utility that will allow you to import a map from NPM into EOC. You can download this utility from your customer portal.
Is this still available? I could not find it on the portal.
It's not in the most obvious place. Go to Additional Components > NPM Additional Components. It's the 4th item from the top.
As an side note. Ensure that your file names for the maps do not have dashes, semi-colons, colons etc. Otherwise the maps will not copy over.
Found out the hard way.
I've run the exe tool but when it asks for the eoc server name and passwords this fails.
I've added the username as per the website username domain\username then my windows domain
password.
This is obviously wrong as it does not work.
Any ideas?
Sam
Are you running EOC 1.0 or 1.1? The import tool doesn't work for 1.1. We're going to release an updated tool for use with EOC 1.1 and NPM 9.5.
Ah! I'm using 1.1 as I only downloaded and installed it today and it was the latest one.
So nothing I can do until you release the updated too I don't think?
Thanks
'fraid not. It's coming soon, though.
you know how long that it will be for this? are there other options that are easier than recreating the maps? in my haste i took a leap of faith and bought this app when we added another orion server so our ops group could use it. now i am late on my project and just getting to this and under the gun to get maps from two orion servers loaded.
thanks
orionofmyeye and menz, please contact Support and please reference this thread to get access to the new updated Network Atlas to EOC importer tool please.
Will do.Thanks
Is this tool in the portal yet?
Yes, although it wasn't easy for me to find either. It is in the customer portal under "Additional Components". There select the NPM link. On that page, it is called Orion-to-EOC Network Atlas Map Conversion Utility NEW
Thanks,
