DPA Upgrade 2022.1.7777 to 2023.1.0.265

Greetings -

I have Orion updated and DPA is next on my list of Solarwinds applications to update. Last time I did a DPA update was early last year so I am looking to make sure when I run this update I am not going to miss anything.

When I updated Orion I tried to update it to 2023.1.1 but when I ran the updater it forced me to install 2023.2.1. If I download 2023.1.0.265 for DPA will it let me install this version or will it force me to install the latest version?

I am going to review the update documentation to make sure I have everything prepped for updating. If there is anything missing in the documentation or any gotchas please let me know.

Hi, the DPA upgrade does not work like orion upgrades at all, you will not have the issue of it forcing you to go to the latest version. DPA upgrades are most of the times really smooth.

The most recent version of the DPA Server is the 2023.2.1.504 service release made available June 5, 2023. If you want to install DPA 2023.1 or earlier, you have an option to download earlier versions from the SolarWinds^® Customer Portal.

If you are wanting to use the DPA Integration Module (DPAIM) in Orion/HCO to integrate with your DPA Server(s), the versions of DPAIM are typically aligned with Orion versions. However, the DPAIM versions are backward compatible and allow connecting with multiple versions of DPA Servers all the way back from version 11.1 to 2023.2.1.504. You can access a list of all current DPA documentation and the Requirements for the DPA Integration Module for further details.

Thank you! DPA usually has been the easy update from Solarwinds. Glad it still is that way. My latest Orion update was really fun.
