We have some nodes hosted at RackSpace and we would like to monitor one of the SQL servers with DPA. Can this be done or does everything need to be on one big happy network?

As long as you have network connectivity from your DPA server to the Rackspace SQL Servers, this will work. It will be going across the WAN so depending on latencies between the 2, you may miss some polls…

It will be going across the WAN so depending on latencies between the 2, you may miss some polls and therefore some of the activity. You can check the Options > DPA Diagnostics page for more info about his.
