We recently installed Database Performance Analyzer on a new server. This is an upgrade from the previous ignite product. Question is, how do we move the old ignite database to the new sql server location?

You can find steps in this article SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Moving SQL Server Data Warehouse Repositories. The screen shots do need an update but, the steps are the same. Take a backup of the ignite database -> restore it on the new server -> shut down the ignite PI service -> edit the repo.properties file to have the new host and user password information -> restart ignite PI service. You should then get a wizard that will ask you for a activation key and after that is entered from your customer portal you can click the "proceed with upgrade" button and here the database will have the DDL run to upgrade the repository for the schema changes.
