We are kicking off the new season with a special episode covering the 2024 Bracket Battle: Hollywood Bytes. 33 "tech" movies, going head-to-head, battling it out for cyber supremacy. Gotta go with Total Recall, or We can remember it for you wholesale for those that read the Philip K. Dick novella. The whole concept of changing someone's memories and leaving them wondering which world is the real one is out there. The Manchurian Candidate is only other movie that reminds of this sort of memory changing. Both involve rather dark political intrigue, but Total Recall adds the technology to make it as simple as taking a vacation...

Great pick. So many great hacker names in that movie. Zero Cool, Crash Overdrive, Acid Burn, Cereal Killer, Lord Nikon. I would be Major Kernel.

Hackers. All the way. Not only did that movie make me want to get into the darker side of electronics (I had a phone number organizer that would make tones to automatically dial at a phone, so I could mimic the sounds of coins dropping like in the movie), but it also introduced me to the magic of Angelina Jolie. My teenage years would never be the same after that...
