I'll describe the scenario: we have some AP's assets both in SolarWinds and LanSweeper we have some missing details in the node details tab in SolarWinds, details that appear in LanSweeper (the location field for instance) is there a way to update the field directly by querying the database or to pull the missing fields…
Does anyone have experience with both of these products? Why does everyone recommend LANsweeper rather than Solarwinds Asset Discovery? What are the pro's and con's of each?
I would like to be able to map to the IP Location field and the Last Seen field from Lansweeper. They currently don't show up in the list of fields that can be mapped to. Thanks, Joe
It would appear that LanSweeper and WHD really don't have a way to sync ownership of an asset, as far as I can tell. The attribute listing of 'Client Username' in WHD is missing "Owned By" or any relationship listing from lansweeper. We use Lansweeper in our network I would give my techs a direct link to Lansweeper dashboard. The url should be like: lansweeper/quicksearch.aspx or lansweeper/quicksearch.aspx The idea is to add a custom field like "lansweeper/quicksearch.aspx for client and assets. Do you have any advice? Thanks
We just started using Web Help Desk and are looking to get Lansweeper 5 connected. Does the new update (11.2.1) fix the Lansweeper 5 issue? If not, is there any ETA?
