I am using the new Kiwi NG and now trying to set up users for the I.T. Admins. So far I can only see that you can create local users in the Web UI. I would like to set this up with LDAP. I am not finding much documentation on how to do this. I would like to set this up so that LDAP is used and we log in with our AD domain…
I have inherited a SolarWinds instance. There is a service account that binds the instance to AD with LDAP. The account password will expire in 30 days. I have been searching for the last few days, and I have not seen where that account is established. I would have assumed that it would be set in the Advanced AD settings…
Currently we are missing out on a big factor of integration the KSS NG software in our company. We really would like to use LDAP for authentication much like NCM / NPM. Please add LDAP support to the tool as this would make intergrating it in to a IT organistation much easier. Thanks.
So Solarwinds LDAP configuration can support user accounts on multiple domains, modify the Settings\All Settings\Accounts\Advanced AD Settings – enable Authenticate Active Directory Users via LDAP section, so it has the ability to configure more than a single directory server address and domain.
AD has a field where you can specify a users manager. The ability to dynamically get this information at ticket creation time for use in approval process would be very useful. Edit: This could also be useful to link with Example user requests access to a network resource. The users manager could be sent an approve/deny for…
Been working on SWSD for a year now and this may be a ridiculous question but I have been searching around and I can not seem to find anything about using LDAP to sync AD into SWSD. I see it for the web help desk but nothing for Service Desk. It sure would be nice to have SWSD populate with AD information for supervisors…
Since there isn't an AD/LDAP integration, we need the ability to create more local users without the e-mail requirement. E-mail should not be a required field for a local user account, we do not want e-mail configured for security purposes. We would like more than 1 local admin user without having to use an e-mail address.…
Background: We have clients connected via LDAP and authentication via SAML 2.0. When trying to modify anything on any tech's account we get the following Null pointer exception below. The top of the stack says the validatePassword function failed but that's because there is no password field for techs once you switch over…
Does LDAP overwrite existing data , or does it automatically sync when it is updated?
We are seeing this error in our log file. Can someone please explain what it means and what we need to do to prevent it from occuring? Thank you, Peter
