Hello, I would like to know the process to refresh the "List of Virtual Machines" in Virtualization section of NPM. Example : I added last week 2 new virtual machines on my ESX, I saw the number of Virtual Machines in : Number of VM11 (11 running) But I don't see the machine in my list :( I'm oblige to remove my ESX and…
I have a what may be a very odd question. We've previously used NPM to poll our ESX 3.5 Environment, but it is terribly annoying to get the Virtualization Team to take the time to make the necessary changes on the hosts. Is there a way (or alternatively is there a plan) to be able to point the Orion NPM at the Virtual…
I am evaluating some of our monitoring needs as we move to a more virtualized infrastructure and there seems to be some overlap between Orion NPM and Virtual & Server Profiler. We currently have Orion NPM & APM and for the most part are happy with them but the Virtual & Server Profiler looks like it gives better…
We are using Xen on our Linux servers to virtualize them. Does anyone have any experience setting that up in Solarwinds? It would be very cool if I could get the same monitoring capabilities with Xen (or Shares for Solaris) that we have for the VMware systems.

We are able to go into Virtual Center and see the disk reads and writes per second under the performance and it will show for an indivudual ESX server what each guest is doing. I'm wondering if anyone might know of a way to monitor this with Orion. I'm guessing…
questions - (i am looking into using SNMP TRAPS from VMware HOSTS systems and trying to use any values passed by traps for performance reporting) is anyone using the Virtual Center ALARMS as SNMP TRAPS? do these traps contain values which might later be used to build reports with Report Writer? thanks VMware's HELP info:…
