I'm curious to know what others are doing in this instance, but I (like many others) am noticing that interfaces on our ASA firewalls are showing high discards hour after hour. This behavior is expected, as discarding packets is what firewalls are supposed to do (duh). My issue is that these high discards are causing the…
Hi All I'm amazed that SolarWinds do not provide this vital piece of information out of the box for this report. Looking in the reports available data, there is no mention of the WAN IP.. When looking for potential issues with abuse of a VPN service, knowing the WAN IP is very important, without it, they are just…

Could someone help me with this?…
VPN tunnel monitoring is not available for Cisco FirePower. Add the feature to get info over snmp

I am noticing some potential weirdness with the data found in the ASA Insight data for Remote Access VPN Tunnels sessions. For example, I'm noticing some users who are showing as connected for months and months and months. That just isn't possible. Most of our users work in the office a few days (where they wouldn't…
How can we actually monitor a multi-context firewall with Solarwinds. You can monitor the Contexts but it seems I can't monitor the system context which is the aggregate of the interfaces, CPU and Memory, the actual hardware. If this is possible please explain how I can do this.
SolarWinds NCM 7.7 became available for download in the Customer Portal on September 13th. As always, the release notes contain plenty of great information on the new features. I’d like to dive deeper into our Network Insight for Cisco ASA, building on the great post by Chris O'Brien. Network Insight for Cisco ASA As Chris…
Can a feature be added to extend the historical retention on the Remote Access VPN Tunnels? Currently I am only able to keep approximately 2 days, and according to support there is no way to extend this timeline (I am assuming it is best effort?).
