How can I perform Monitoring and Alerting Specific Scheduled Tasks on multiple Windows Servers? The scheduled Task execution details can be queried using these: Provider Name: Microsoft-Windows-TaskScheduler/Operational Windows Event ID: 101 Type: Error I wanted to monitor just specific Scheduled Tasks that are manually…
I like that I can go into my nodes and schedule a planned maintenance window in advance. This comes in handy when a service provider tells you there will be a maintenance window in the future and will affect one of your sites. HOWEVER, I'd love to have a place where I can go in and SEE all the maintenance windows that…
Please enhance WSTM to include the ability to monitor tasks within a sub-folder. (Currently monitoring is limited to the root of the Task Scheduler Library) Thanks! -ZackM http://www.loop1systems.com
I use the Windows Powershell Script component heavily to extend the reach of Solarwinds. As an example, I monitor scheduled tasks with a powershell script. I would like to create an application template that contains multiple instances of my Windows-Powershell-Script-component-based component instead of copying the…
Hi all, I am curious if anyone has been able to audit windows scheduled tasks running on a windows server where they have deployed the agent and if so, how they can determine the user account used to run the task? Many thanks, Garreth
Hi, Using the scheduled task monitor, I am unsure if it is possible to alert on a task which has run for a specific time, e.g. if a task state is running and has been running for more than [say] 1 hour. Is this possible in SAM 6.1.1 or is this a feature request in the making? Garreth
Is there any way to stop the user that's associated with an NCM scheduled task from changing? If user1 configures a scheduled job, and the username that is associated with that account to log into switches is user1, and another user2 comes along and even views that task, the username that runs that task is then changed to…
I've already contacted Solarwinds support and didn't get anywhere. I was referred from support to the forums, which seems a little backwords to me. Either way, here is my issue/question. Why would a remote schtasks request not work through APM, but a local one will. Specifying credentials doesn't help either. Any ideas or…
I have a weekly scan scheduled to discover any new servers added to our server VLANs across our Datacentres. I was wondering if there's a way of scheduling APM to scan for specific applications on a weekly basis? Thanks, Phil
We have to monitor a HTTP page that actually kicks off a financial transaction and returns result. It costs us money every time we run this transaction so the business wants us to only monitor this between 8am and 6pm. Has anyone had any luck being able to do any monitoring on a schedule and if so how did you do it???…
