Hardware health has been a great addition to NPM for cisco gear. MIB is present on H3C (some models listed above), yet not polled for, or presented in NPM for H3C nodes. If you have H3C gear, and would value seeing hardware health for them, please vote this up. E.Penney
Have added that to the following "Custom Chart" widget: And the Datasource looks like: Query: SELECT TOP 1000 hivs.HardwareItemID, hib.Name, hivs.ObservationTimestamp, ((hivs.AvgValue*9)/5)+32 AS AvgFValue FROM Orion.HardwareHealth.HardwareItemValueStatistics hivs JOIN Orion.HardwareHealth.HardwareItemBase hib ON hib.ID =…
Hi, I just installed NPM 10.4 general release ( and I had this with 10.4 RC3 ), I cannot get the hardware status, from an F5 at firmware version 11.2.1. It was working when the F5 was at 10.2.4. Thank you, Martin
How do I trigger an alert when hardware health status can't be polled? E.g. I change the SNMP community string on a node to a bad one, the node goes into basically in ICMP mode, there are various "can't be polled" components such as volumes and interfaces - yet "overall hardware status" remains "up". Why? Here are my…
Hardware health is working very well for our servers. No gaps in presenting sensor data like Temperature for example. However it appears that majority of our cisco switches/routers, all their sensors have very sporadic data captured. I've inspected cisco gear hosted on each of our additional pollers (to rule out a poller…
Hello, I have a physical server that is monitored with SNMP. To be able to monitor scheduled windows tasks on this node, I have to switch to WMI instead of SNMP. Problem is that WMI fails on reading the Hardware Health on physical servers (so it seems in general atleast) so I end up having to choose between the two. And…
Hello Thwack Folks! I was wondering if there is a way to monitor the temperature of cisco router / switch devices. The current hardware health status of a WS-C3750G-24T-S device shows me only two Fans and two power supplies. All have state "normal" but now value. Maybe there is a way to get some values. Thank you in…
Is there a way to suppress the hardware events from showing up in the console -- with thousands of switches all reporting fan speed changes more interating operational messages basically I don't need these events to be logged: it's hiding the more interesting events (like node up) Thanks
