Greetings - I asked this same question 5 years ago but the links are dead - https://thwack.solarwinds.com/products/network-performance-monitor-npm/f/forum/80548/netpath-probe---can-we-run-a-probe-on-a-raspberry-pi/218480 Can we configure a Raspberry PI has an end point for Netpath? Right now we are using old SCCM boxes and…
Hi, Could you please let me know when you're likely to implement Netpath probe installs on Linux. Would be very useful to have the ability to install probes on Raspberry Pi. I hear that Linux functionality is already in place for the collector agents. Thanks, Justin.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Agent analysing data from SPAN port should be directly connected to this port (without any additional network devices between server with Agent and monitored switch).... so it would be great to deploy NPAS on Raspberry Pi (if only it has enough computing power) as it use much less energy than…
Has anyone ever tried or researched monitoring a Raspberry Pi? My colleague and I were discussing the possibility of putting up a few of these in our data center to monitor temperature at various points. Admittedly, I don't know much about the RPI, so it may not be monitor-able via the normal methods.
Last week we talked about application-aware monitoring. Rather than placing our focus on the devices and interfaces, we discussed getting data that approximates our users' experiences. These users, are going to be distributed around the organization at least. They may even be scattered around the Internet, depending on the…
Install and Setup Net-SNMP for basic SNMP monitoring on Linux. Setup snmpd.conf SNMP Linux, Unix, HPUX systems. Whether 64bit, 32 bit, or ARM based system like Raspberry Pi. PURPOSE: Setup Net-SNMP with SNMPv3 Credentials with minimal effort to get System Monitoring & Process details. Reference: SNMPv3 With this Guide, you…
Hello all, I am working on redesigning our company's NOC, which gives me a good opportunity to toss out some of the things we have tried in the past that didn't pan out, and implement things that work better. Historically we've just had a few ancient desktop towers running Linux (and in one case a Raspberry Pi) hooked up…
