When I added my switches into solarwinds it shows the ports that are not hooked up as down. I found the setting to have them shown as unplugged but if I decided to plug them in one day I need to get an alert if that interface goes down. I want to create a job to run weekly that will look for switchports that have been down for three weeks or more and place them in an "Admin Down" state. Anybody created such a job as I would hate to reinvent the wheel ;-)
