Alert - Software Inventory ?

Question

Can anyone point me in the direction of being alerted upon if a certain piece of software shows up in the Asset Inventory table ?   If there is another thread in which an alert is created based on a value in the DB that would be helpful as well.  Thank you.

Setup a new alert

Trigger condition as follows:

Alert on:  Custom SQL Alert (Advanced)

Condition:Node

SQL:

WHERE NodeID in ( select NODEID from dbo.AssetInventory_SoftwareView where name = 'NAME OF SOFTWARE' )

Check for a green response when you press [Validate]
