Advanced Alerts: cannot TEST after Hotfix install

Question

I added all the recent hotfixes for 8.1 and the TEST ALERT function on advanced alerts does not seem to be working anymore.   Select it and it just sits there, any other command is fine Edit Alert, Copy Alert, etc.    Just not TEST.   Anyone seen this with the new hotfixes added.

I have since opened a support ticket and with a little nudging from Support have found the issue.    The script needs to be surrounded in quotes (")'s.     My script looked like

"D:\SW_ORION\scripts\SD_EVENT_2var.bat" "description=${FullName} has changed to ${Status}" "source_id=${S}${S}${M}"

I was missing the quotes around the "D:\SW_ORION\scripts\SD_EVENT_2var.bat" .  It works without them in the basic alerts but required in the advanced alerts for some reason.   Either way have been able to make external scripts work.   GO figure.

You will notice as well in the Advanced alerts that if you have more then one action in the trigger actions only the first action is executed.     Trying to see if anyone has gotten an external script to run as the trigger action from the advanced alerts.

Update Note:  Since upgrading to 8.5 using TEST ALERTS I see all actions being executed in the test screen; however external scripts are still not running.   In this particular case a .bat file is called and executed.

I have noticed the same problem.  The view doesnt get filtered based on the volume or interface you want to test on, which is really annoying.  It makes it nearly impossible to test an alert unless you are doing disk and it has a unique ID after the drive letter.  Along with not being able to test from the System Manager, I hope these bugs are fixed in v8.5
