SwJobSchedulerSvc Fails to Start.

Question

SwJobSchedulerSvc Fails to Start on our Windows 2003 server. I have installed SP2 with no luck.

I'm having the same issue and I tried replacing that file.  Still no luck.  Any other advice?

This is a bug that has caused an invalid entry to get into your Job Engine data file.  You can safely replace this file with an empty version.

Attached is an empty version of the Job Engine data file.  You can replace the existing file with this one.  The file is located at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\JobEngine\Data\JobEngine.sdf.

To replace it, stop the SolarWinds Job Engine, SolarWinds Job Scheduler, and SolarWinds Orion Module Engine services.  Make sure you stop the Job Engine service on your additional pollers, too.

Replace the file.

Start those services again.  When the Module Engine service starts back up, it will repopulate the data file
