XP is a desktop OS, Orion is a SERVER application.
Check the server requirements in the Orion documentation.
Also you should have IIS installed before installing Orion.

I have talked with customer support at Solarwinds and they are running orion Net perfmon on xp machines. I have tried reistalling everything from formatting my hard drive to installing a new OS. When I open my IIS manager my Netperfmon has a red icon with the word error next to it.

Like Network _Guru said "XP is a desktop OS, Orion is a SERVER application"; ALL Orion documentation clearly state "Operating System
Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server" in the requirements section.

josequiroz, In IIS manager do the following: 1) Right-click on Default website and select STOP 2) Right-click on NetPerfmon website and select START But as both Network_Guru and jtimes have said, you should really run Orion on a server.
