Problem during migration from version 7 to 8

Hi all,

I need your help because I'm exeriencing an issue during migration from ver. 7 to ver. 8.

I'm using Solarwind installation file downloaded from website. If I start the procedure I am advised that an older version is installed on the system and the procedure asks me if I would remove it. I agree and uninstall procedure starts. At the end Solarwinds ver. 7 is not installed on my system, but the procedure stops without any message. If I restart it, I have the same warning on an older version installed, but in this case, the uninstall procedure starts and finishes immediatly without any error.

Any help on this could be very appreciated.

You will need to contact Support and have version 7.8.5 provisioned into your Customer Portal.

Good question....

From where?

If I login into SOlarwinds website I could only access to version 8 upgrade files. I don't see anything about version 7.....

You need to upgrade to 7.8.5 first then to 8.1-
