What to do with it now (custom poller)

Question

I have my system setup to keep an eye on fan's and temps on my routers and switches. I have the example pollers assigned to my devices. Now what? I don't see how to incorperate them into a basic or advanced alert. Am I even barking up the right tree to make these do somthing?

They only work with Advanced Alerts.  On the Trigger page, you can set the alert type to "Custom Poller".  From there, you should be able to create an alert.  If you want to see them on the web console, you need to add the Custom Poller resource to one of your views and then select one of your custom pollers after clicking Edit on the resource.
