Detecting Device Serial # change \ Recieving Alerts or Notice of change in Report

Question

Does anybody know how to get NCM to detect a Hardware change [Meaning it has already inventoried a device \ Device goes bad \ Device gets replaced (new Serial number)\ Gets reinventoried and scheduled time]. I am seeing that it correctly inventoried the device. But i am not seeing it in the report, only see finished statement and not recieving alerts to this either.

Is there a way to do this?

Bumping this thread instead of creating a new one since it hasn't been answered. Has anyone found a way to do this? If not, I'll make this a feature request.
