Error Inserting Network record into database

Question

I get this error on Solarwinds Event log.

Error Inserting Network record into database 
Error Detail:Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.The statement has been terminated.

Database is on different server and it happens when server gets busy. Is there any way to increase the timeout paramater so that solarwinds waits for longer time before giving up writing to database server.

Thanks for the help,

I have made changes I just have to wait and see it helps.

I also look at network and there is no congestion. SQL server was  getting timed out during backup and Antivirus scanning.

Look in your install directory for a file named 'SWNetPerfMon.DB'.

Make a backup of this file.

Now open the original file and look for these lines:

Timeout=20

!
!	Database Command timeout in seconds
CommandTimeout=90

I believe the line you'll want to change is the 20 but if that doesn't work try adjusting the 90 number as well. You may need to stop/restart the NetPerfMon service after making these changes.

On a side note you might want to look at your local network for congestion.
