Has anyone come up with a way to do this? Basically I would like the VM Custom Property of "Location" be pulled by the Location of the ESX host it is running on.

Mike, APM has a customer VMware API poller but I assume that's not what you are really looking for here. You could write a script to update this property, but there is not going to be a good way to easily and automatically update this information.
