I am just about to try and get sms alerting working. I have downloaded notepager pro onto my solarwinds server and I now have to connect to my modem and phone line to test.
I am using a virtual server and was wondering if it's ok to use a mapped modem port from a workstation of something like that to get it working. Will the notepager work ok with another box remotely I can find any real technical documents on it. I am also trying to setup the notepager sections and it requires carriers and other things. Does anyone have any examples or explanations of what I need in here and why?
Or does anyone have any suggestions?
