Hi,
I'm currently planning an upgrade to our Solarwinds Platform.
Database and SW application are currently running on two independent 2k12 R2 VMs, SQL version is 2k12 SP4.
SW modules are:
WPM 2.2.1,
IPAM 4.3.2,
SRM 6.3.0,
VNQM 4.2.4,
NCM 7.5.1,
NPM 12.0.1,
QoE 2.2.0,
NTA 4.2.1,
VIM 7.0.0,
UDT 3.2.4,
SAM 6.3.0,
NetPath 1.0.1
Stop Solarwinds services on main server and APE, Backup DB from current server, offline DB, restore on new Windows 2k19, SQL 2k16 SP1, then run configuration wizard on SolarWinds server and 1 APE to point to new DB server.
After a few days provided we have no issues, begin installing latest version of SolarWinds on new Server 2k19 servers.
Additional steps will be required for VIM, but on a high level does this sound correct, or are they are gotchas I've missed out on? I read another post about manually changing a server name as per a migration guide but not sure what this referred to?
