Devices showing Critical after upgrading from 2025.1 to 2026.2.1

Question

Several of our devices were set to be monitored by SNMP and ICMP.  Prior to the upgrade they displayed a status of UP.  After the upgrade to 2026.2.1 they displayed a status of Critical.  We found that these devices should not have been configured to use SNMP and this appeared to be causing the Critical status.  Changing the device to ICMP only did not correct the status.  Some devices were corrected by marking them as ICMP only, but others were not.  The device type is not specific to any brand or type of device.  Any ideas what may be causing this?

What worked for me was doing the "

snmp-server enable traps fru-ctrl

on the configuration on Cisco switches.  Got rid of most of those pesky things for some reason, still not sure why, but pretty harmless to do!
