NTM- Password issue

Question

So I sent a file from my NTM which is 2.2.816 (yes very old). It's asking him for a password and I've tried a few different passwords I thought would work. I also tried changing the password under Edit>Change Maps Encryption Password but not sure what my old PW is.

Any suggestions on how I can get this reset? (Temporarily I did just send him the Export PDF with node a bunch of node display options) .

The Map password is used to hash the map. So without the password, there is not a way how to open it. Credential Manager can only show what is stored in Windows Credential Manager (Control Panel\User Accounts\Credential Manager)

There you can see credentials for all maps you were able to successfully open on the computer. So when you try next time to open the same map, you are not asked again for the password.

Steps to follow:

* On your NTM server download and extract the tools at
* In the directory where the files are extracted run CredentialsManager.exe
* Find the relevant NTM map in the Target column and view the associated Username and Password values.
* If you need to change the credentials, highlight the row and click Edit.
* Make your changes and click Save.
* Open the map in NTM.
