SolarWinds Subscription Expiring

Question

Hey guys, our SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted Advanced Enterprise Annual Subscription will be expiring end of this month. First time doing the renewal and waiting for the new activation code to be sent to me. *Our Server is online and has internet access.

When we get the new annual activation code what's the best way to renew? Settings > License Manager > Synchronize or Update?

Will I need to manually remove the old one?

Will there be any downtime?

If not renewed before 7/31/2026, what can I expect to happen?

Hi, great questions.  If you are online, once you've renewed, you should be able to sync and the key will update automatically with no downtime (it may do this in the background automatically).  If you are offline, you'll need run through the standard offline deactivation/activation via the customer portal (some down time).  If you don't renew, monitoring doesn't stop immediately at expiration, but it will stop after some time (product should communicate timing).
