Solarwinds Agent Mass rollout using BigFix

Question

Hi Experts,

Need your inputs

We are planning to push/deploy Solarwinds agents on Windows servers using BigFix.

1.I had deployed APEs with HA

2.While downloading MSI & MST file from Solarwinds, it allowed to select one of the APE not VIP

3. I had selected active APE IP and created the  Agent MSI & MST and shared it to BigFix team

4.BigFix team deployed agent on few servers but those servers are not reporting to Solarwinds. Command used :wait msiexec.exe /i "SolarWinds-Agent.msi" TRANSFORMS="SolarWinds-Agent.mst" /qn

5.When I checked "C:\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Agent\Solarwinds.Agent.Setup" »Agent Initiated Communication" » Orion Server IP Address » It is showing "Localhost"

6. I had manually changed the IP to appropriate Active APE and manually feed the Orion User Name & Pwd , then the agent is started  reporting to Solarwinds

My queries are

a. How to fix this issue, so I can automate the mass deployment of  agent on remaining Windows Servers, instead fixing issue manually on each server.

b. How do I make agent to point APEs VIP instead of Individual APE

Have you tried running those commands manually? To see if it is something with the distribution system or msi/mst-files?

You can also try to enable verbose logging to see what is going wrong:

msiexec /i "C:\Temp\SolarWinds-Agent.msi" TRANSFORMS="C:\Temp\SolarWinds-Agent.mst" /qn /L*V "C:\Temp\SWAgent_MST.log"

Thanks Lofstrand, I have added the VIP  and created a new MSI & MST package  and tried to deploy on multiple servers , still it is showing localhost in Orion Server IP Address

Where you create and download the msi and mst-file, you can add the APE VIP address manually:
