Alert Trigger Reset condition after 3 hours OR reset it when it is no longer true

Hey,

Im working in a hospital and i need to understand something if it is possible to do so. We have noc team that monitors the solarwinds alerts and send us alerts via Whatsapp or mail etc… now i want that that alert will jump every 3 hours because sometimes the system team doesnt check for the issues and they need to send more than one time a whatsapp to the system team. now i've seen that there is an option to do like special reset condition and lets say that the condition is on CPU or ram status, i want that alert to reset after 3 hours - so it will jump again even if the noc team acknowledges it OR that it will be the opposite of the trigger condition.

Please help.

yes i know about this option but what it does is that it reset this alert - even after if the alert condition is already reset. meaning that you will see an alert on the alerts menu when the node itself is ok but the alert is still there for 3 more hours untill it will reset because of time and not because of lets say CPU is less than 75%

so let me explain, i want that at the end that the option RESET THIS ALERT WHEN IT IS NO LONGER TRUE (RECOMMENDED) AND reset this alert automatically after 3 hours meaning - i have an alert that alerts on CPU that is over 85%.

now what i want that the reset condition will be that the alert on cpu will be less that 85% - doable in special reset conditions OR that the alert will be reset after 3 hours - meaning that the alert will reset when the condition is not true OR that the alert will reset if the CPU is under 85 %

No, that is not possible, you cant combine Reset condition with respect to time and/or an additional condition.

Rather like what @naveensingh43 has mentioned use the other option (this seems like a right way, this needs to be configured in your Trigger Action):

In your "Trigger Action" use Escalation Level, what happens here is if you alert is active for more than 3 hours an Escalation action can be initiated where you can receive an iterative whats app message or mail.

The things is that that tier-1 people look at solarwinds and send us everything that is meant to be sent to us, and they look at their dashboard that has all the active alerts and sometimes they forget by mistake to send us messages about critical this, now what they do is that they acknowledge it and send us to our whatsapp or email(doesnt really matter) this alert so we will fix it, we need that at the end the alert will somehow be reset after 3 hours or when the alert condition is no longer true, in the escalation level i dont have there anything to do almost in our cituation like send sms or something like that.

Makes sense, but to the best of my knowledge I don't think its possible through the standard alerts. A SWQL alert maybe (might be possible - but I have never tried that).

So, I think what you really want is to alert again if they haven't taken action? That's actually part of the "Send Email" action. You can have it send another email after a period of time if the alert is not acknowledged. That way if the alert just sits there and nobody does anything, it sends out another email. But, doesn't "reset" the alert. However, if someone acknowledges the alert, it doesn't send out another email?
