Requesting that the alert for Tablespace Freespace be updated to take into consideration Tablespaces with AutoExtend ON and Max size set.
I'd second that for the DB2 and SQL alerts as well.
FYI, here is a custom alert that should work for Oracle Tablespace Free space: Custom Alert - Oracle Tablespace Free Space . Give it a try and let me know how it works.
I'm sure that's really useful, but I'd like to see ones for Db2 and SQL Server.
Are you having issues with the SQL Server Database Free Space alerts already in the product? I will see about a DB2 alert.
Just had to test, as I turned them off as they were no use .
Currently all my SQL Server databases just trigger a high alert (set for 80-100%) with a note: "One or more data files are unrestricted in growth"
Db2 alerts also trigger at 100% (as they are MANAGED BY AUTOMATIC STORAGE & auto extend) but no note.
So the Database Freespace alert is currently of no value to me.
If it could be tailored to report on space currently used/space currently allocated or space currently used/Max size it might have some use to monitor growth, but it is not a high priority.
Cheers
