I would love to be able to change the refresh rate to 1 minute for some views that are more "real-time" and lower the refresh rate on other views that are just global status updates.

What would be super awesome is a pause button in a top corner of a detail/summary page. Un-pausing would simply start the refresh timer from where you stopped it. Or maybe automatically refresh the page?
Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but here goes:
I recently had this problem with an NOC view I was building, and I created the following workaround.
First, create a Custom HTML element and give it any title (I chose RefreshSetter).
In the HTML content, add the following:

SW.Core.View.InitRefreshInterval([Desired Seconds to wait for refresh]*1000, false);
$('div.ResourceWrapperPanel:contains("[Title of the Custom HTML Element]")').css('display','none');
});
</script>
I chose 60 seconds. Gets the job done, does not need a whole page refresh and the HTML element is invisible (though I would recommend putting it in a corner at the very bottom).
If you need to see the element, just run this on the Javascript Console:
$('div.ResourceWrapperPanel:contains("[Title of the Custom HTML Element]")').css('display','');

This is a pretty neat workaround for when your pages are not refreshing, but we're looking for the ability to control the refresh rate on a view-by-view basis, or even have a button that pauses the refresh on the page you're using.
