FEATURE REQUEST - DYNAMIC QUERIES AGAINST SOFTWARE INVENTORY

Dynamic queries need to be able to query the software inventory. I want a group of nodes called "SQL" that automatically adds members if they have Microsoft SQL Server installed.

Could you not create the dynamic groups using what application templates get assigned to nodes?

I agree with mdjukic this can be done with groups and custom properties.

the idea is to create a dynamic group based on software installed on the node. then you take that dynamic group and apply the application monitoring template to the group. now when new nodes get added to solarwinds and they have SQL installed, they automatically get added to the group and automatically get the app monitor template applied. automation... do you guys enjoy applying custom properties manually? I don't get it.
