Please allow incorporate feed authentication into your Widget RSS reader. It's a pretty sizable gap for us in the implementation. Because, for those that have Sharepoint implementations with authentication enforced we're unable to consume the feed.
The authentication mechanism is actually already implemented in the web browser. I hacked together a simple proof of concept - when the server requires authentication, this window pops up:
Once you provide it with valid credentials, the feed loads just fine. The issue you're probably experiencing with Sharepoint is a missing crossdomain.xml file on the Sharepoint server. See my post on Thwack: Sharepoint RSS
I'm wondering if uidzer0 managed to make it work in the end.
Never was allowed to implement. Can i close the idea? lol, as it's not relevant to the design of Solarwinds
I'm not sure about closing - the issue (not being able to consume Sharepoint RSS) is still very real. Maybe you can edit it accordingly? If the feature request stays open, it could also be an easily discoverable page for people experiencing the same problem but not aware of its cause. There's also a possible workaround: How to bypass flash crossdomain security - Stack Overflow
Closing as a legacy appliance feature request
