Switch Port Mapper Descriptions

I'm using the switch port mapper against a Cisco 6509 L3 switch. The retrieval of SNMP data works fine for both the router and switch information.
As I watch the poll take place, the 'interface alias' column is corrected populated with the interface descriptions (as configured on the switch) but when the poll completes, the interface list re-sorts itself. When I scroll through the re-sorted list the interface alias column does not show any port descriptions !
So the polling activity is working fine, but there seems to be processing activity which loses the descriptions.
Has anybody seen this before ? It didn't happen on other switches I've tried the port mapper against. I've tried with both version 7.1 and version 8 of the mapper.

This is a problem on certain types of Cisco switches.
You can request an update to Switch Port Mapper from SolarWinds support that will fix this.
