SMTP server on network monitoring

hi...
on my network, there are only use internal e-mail,which is not connected to the internet at all. so, can i use the e-mail in order to send alert for anything that happened in my network (as i configured to trigger)

and, what should i put for the SMTP server.

put the IP address of the mail server on your internal network.
