Accidentally deleted map.

I need help restoring a map I accidentally deleted.

I noticed that there's is a cached file of this map on the server under \Windows\Temp

File : DirectLink-f914ec87-12e7-49a4-9248-805d275eab37.OrionMap.html

It also come with a corresponding screenshot which shows it's the map I deleted. I tried removing the .html extension and manually pointed NetworkAtlas. Network Atlas failed to open it and crashed.

Any tips?

try this:

run Database Manager from the Advanced Tools. Connect to the SQL server and find table MapStudioFiles. Right click on it and select "Query Table" from the context menu. When the query window opens, run the select query, then select the "Read-Write" option, and find the map with the ID (that should start with f914ec87-12e7...). Look for the column named IsDeleted - uncheck it for this map. When you start NA again, the map should be there.

That's probably just a cached rendering of your map because as far as I know the if you're running version 9.5+ of NPM... all the maps are stored in the SQL Database now. You may want to open a case or if someone else here understands the tables for the network atlas they might be able to tell you if all is lost or not.

If you do find a work around of some kinds let us all know as I haven't seen much written in thwack regarding how the Network Atlas part of Database is organized.
