Are we missing something...?

We create a network map in Orion Network Atlas and use 'ConnectNow' to map the links out. When we hover over one o fthe links to confirm what has bene discovered all appears well. See following screenshot

However, in NPM, that same link shows up as this:

Anybody any ideas why the auto discovered links not being shown?

Would you mind also elaborating on the type of map you are looking to create?  What is the end goal?

Now I understood what you were talking about.

the second screenshot is also when you hover over the Link in the Map in Orion.

Sorry that I didn’t catch this.

So as an explanation, the hover over link shows the connected entities on the map. As you connected 2 switches, you see the switch as the entity.

now that you changed the entity to the Interfaces they are shown as the connected endpoints.

The interfaces are added and monitored otherwise 'ConnectNow' wouldn't autoconnect the links.

This is an issue where such links are only showing they are connected in Atlas but not in NPM when you hover the mouse over the link in question. The fix in Atlas is to right click the link > properties and then drag the relavant interfaces from each end into the map. Once saved, these then show in NPM.
