I think it would be a nice feature to determine if a specific NPM account would even see the NCM module link. I know that there is still authentication to the module, but I would like to also hide the link. Any info would be appreciated.

Good news! This is possible in NPM 9.1. In the NPM website, go to Admin and edit the account you'd like to remove the module link for. Scroll down and expand the section titled "<account name>'s Network Configuration Manager Settings". Set the default view to "none". The NCM link should disappear for that user.
